About Us

The Mission of Foundation for Rural Communities is not just to provide aid to these communities but to help to develop these rural communities to be self sufficient. We developed 5-step  program to help with basic necessities 

  1. Water Program- The most important and essential of our steps
  2. Food Program- Preventing malnutrition especially amongst the children is key 
  3. Medical Program - Providing vaccines and annual check ups to prevent treatable disease.
  4. Crops Program - Teaching the villagers to grow their own crops is fundamental to them being self sufficient.
  5. Education Program - Helping students with purchasing textbooks and continuing their education.


Our Last Step is to Celebrate! We hold Christmas parties at the villages every year to celebrate the villages hard work on the path of being self sufficient.

Richard and Helen Fowler

Starting the Foundation in 2009, Richard and Helen Fowler have been committed to helping the rural communities of Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Honduras. 

Mark Forsythe

Mark Forsyth has been a part of the foundation from the very beginning serving on the board of directors. Mark has been essential to our Water program and Christmas parties.  

Jorge Flores

Jorge Flores has been passionate about  developing social programs in rural communities. He has been essential in coordinating all project and programs with the leaders of the villages.
